From a VSL to a long-term creative partnership.
Tyler came to me for a VSL for PaintLaunch. On the surface, the project was straightforward: create a video that clearly communicates the offer. But I don't start editing until I understand what I'm actually making. So I followed my 3-step creative process.
DiscoverUnderstanding the business.
-
I studied the PaintLaunch website, Tyler's positioning, and his audience. I looked at the goal of the VSL and where it would live inside his funnel.

Understanding the business.
- I studied the PaintLaunch website, Tyler's positioning, and his audience. I looked at the goal of the VSL and where it would live inside his funnel.
- That gave me the context I needed before making any creative decisions.
- I wasn't treating the footage as something that just needed to be cut together. I was figuring out what the video actually needed to accomplish.
Turning context into creative direction.
- Once I understood the business, I planned how the message should be structured and communicated.
- I thought through the pacing, visuals, B-roll, motion graphics, sound, and overall look of the video.
- Every decision was intentional. Nothing was added just because it looked cool. Everything served the message.
The VSL Delivery.
Then I took it through the full production process and delivered the VSL.
VSL Results
After launching the VSL, PaintLaunch's application rate went from 10% to around 40–50%
The relationship expanded.
And that's where the story gets interesting. After the VSL, we worked on more of the content behind PaintLaunch. What started as one project eventually expanded into:
- YouTube and Instagram content strategy
- Scripting, ideation, and creative direction
- Ads and videos inside his sales funnel
- Instagram Reels and YouTube videos

Instagram Results
- And that's exactly what happens when content is approached as more than a production task: understand the business first, make the creative decisions around it, and then execute them properly.
- That's the difference between just editing and actually building content that works.

Client Acquisition Program launch with a VSL.
When Max and I started working together, he already knew how he wanted his VSL for his new client acquisition program to feel. He had a clear vision in his head, but struggled to fully articulate it.
DiscoverUnderstanding the vision.
-
Rather than needing Max to dictate every creative decision, my job was to understand what he was trying to achieve.

In less than a week, the program became the #1 Community on Whop.

Building performance-oriented content for Scale Info.
When I started working with Liam and Siggy, they were doing around $10K/month. They didn't just need someone to edit YouTube videos or cut ads. They needed someone who understood what actually works in the info niche. Someone who could look at their content and know what would make people stop, watch, and buy.
DiscoverUnderstanding buyer psychology.
-
Before I touched anything, I needed to understand what makes their audience buy. What makes an ad convert. What makes someone watch until the end.

Understanding buyer psychology.
- Before I touched anything, I needed to understand what makes their audience buy. What makes an ad convert. What makes someone watch until the end.
- I studied their offer, their market, and their recorded footage. I figured out what the content needed to accomplish: not just look good, but actually attract and educate their audience.
- That's the foundation. Without that, nothing else matters.
Mapping the creative direction.
- Once I understood the psychology behind their content, I planned the creative direction for both their YouTube videos and paid ads.
- I structured how the message would be communicated. I thought through pacing, visuals, hooks, and retention. Every decision was made with one thing in mind: performance.
- The work naturally expanded from YouTube into their paid ad campaigns because the same principles applied, understand the audience, plan the message, then execute.
Executing and delivering.
- Then I brought it all to life.
- I handled the full production across their organic content and paid ad campaigns.

The results:
They went from around $10K/month to $30K/month, and eventually to $70K/month.
